John Arthur Sampson III has probation, community service and fines to deal with after pleading no-contest to reckless driving in place of the DUI charge, but Chief Circuit Judge Donald Moran affirmed this week that Sampson would face no workplace discipline.

Incomplete paperwork ended the DUI trial against former Ocean Spring's mayoral candidate Scott Walker. Though Walker's defense subpoenaed Mayor Connie Moran and the board of aldermen to testify in the trial, they were never called. Instead, the judge agreed with the defense argument that the DUI citation was not valid.
